As a shipping agent, Global Agency Company provides a wide range of services to clients. We understand that at times clients will have complex requirements and our experts are accustomed to developing tailor-made solutions to ensure that all those requirements are met.
Bunkering
Services can be presently undertaken both alongside berth and at the Western Anchorage. Most grades of fuel are available including low sulphur products.
Luboil
Most major brands are available for delivery both in barrels and/or in bulk. Service can be undertaken concurrently with most other services/operations.
Ship to Ship Transfer
Service provided in partnership with STS Marine Solutions. STS operations can be conducted at the western anchorage under direct supervision by GPA & STS Marine Solutions experienced Mooring Masters. Equipment locally stored and ready to be mobilised in minimum time.
Slop Reception
Service can be effected at Western Anchorage by Barge or alongside berths. Both high and lo flash products can be disposed of locally.
Charts & Publications
There is a fully stocked and up-to-date Admiralty Chart Agency on Gibraltar.
Spare Parts Deliveries
Air freight facilities are available both directly to Gibraltar airport (via London) or Málaga airport (Spain). Goods arriving directly to Gibraltar airport can be cleared through Customs on a round the clock basis, however, goods arriving via the land frontier (including from Málaga airport) are subject to Spanish Customs working times of strictly between 0800 hrs to 1400hrs Mondays to Fridays (non holiday) only.
CTM
All major currencies can be arranged GBP, USD, EUR.
Underwater Cleaning & Inspection
There are currently 3 companies in Gibraltar who undertake all types of cleaning and repair works, approved by all major Classification Societies.
Crew Change
Gibraltar Airport is situated just 1.4Km from the port and has daily connections to and from London. Most seafarers are visa exempted, subject to their seaman’s book, providing their transit time in London does not exceed 24 hours. Alternatively, transfer arrangements can also be arranged through the Spanish neighbouring airports of Málaga or Jerez, which are approximately 1.5 hours driving distance from Gibraltar, providing they comply with Spanish Immigration formalities.
Off Port Limits Services
Multitude of services can be carried out, including crew change, surveyors, technicians, stores, spares and provisions supply. RV. 2 NM East off Europa Point. RV. 6.5 NM East off Europa Point.
Repairs & Dry Docking
3 Dry Docks (on of which can cater up to Panamax size vessels), conversions and repair facilities are operated by Gib Dock. There are also a number of electrical, mechanical and steel workshops which operate independently and are also experienced in ship repair. Electronic repair facilities are also available, with all major manufacturers enjoying representation in Gibraltar.
Stevedoring
There is presently just one stevedoring company in operation, which can undertake basically all types of cargo services, including container handling. Also, as per port regulations, handling of ships stores over 3 Tons has to be handled by the stevedoring company, regardless if delivery is via their crafts or not.
Stores & Provisions
All types of stores and provisions can be arranged via local Ship Chandlers.
P & I Representation
All major clubs have correspondents in Gibraltar.
Surveyors
All types of surveys can be undertaken, with surveyors promptly available within Gibraltar or the neighbouring hinterland if more specialised work is required.
Medical Services
Assistance is available at short notice round the clock. Consultation is available on board or at local clinic. Other services undertaken are those of on board Drug & Alcohol Testing, Inoculations etc.
